Observe, assess & evaluate

Counters installed are used to assess storefront value, understand the value of commercial pedestrian traffic, identify and measure peak hour traffic by day-of-week and by season or measure the impact of events.

They allow cities to evaluate trends over time to help guide future investments in infrastructure. For the case of Georgetown, the data collected from the pedestrian counters were also valuable in making the case for a nearby streetcar station.
