Communicate to retailers and key stakeholders
Halifax business improvement districts were able to get accurate attendance statistics using a fleet of portable pedestrian counters. The data from the Eco-Counters was shared with stakeholders and retailers. A number of the retailers were able to determine a relationship between their revenue and visitation during specific periods of time.
Attendance figures can be shared between organizations to develop simple benchmarking tools. Reliable data also enables city-center managers to better understand and communicate the value of events and city improvement projects.
Count data can also be used to communicate accurate pedestrian monitoring data to key stakeholders, present pedestrian frequency statistics on a website with site-specific information, or create detailed and specific reports for retailers and administrators.
